John Hailer is president of the 1251 Asset Mgmt division of 1251 CapitlGroup, an investment banking firm based out of Boston. His job entails overseeing the trading of various securities. In his previous position, he worked for Natixis. While at Natixis, he served as vice president and senior managing director of the Americas region. Before joining Natixis, he had also served as vice president and regional managing director of institutional sales at Fidelity Institutional Services Co. Before joining Fidelity, he was director of retail business development at Putnam Investments.

John Hailer, chairman of the board for the New England Council, has three sons – two of whom make him proud. One son, Peter, works as an attorney specializing in tax law; another, Andrew, is an accountant who specializes in international taxation; and the third, Chris, is a doctor specializing in internal medicine. In addition to being active members of the community, the brothers work with others to promote healthcare reform and advocate for preventive care. They also support organizations such as Aetna, the American Heart Association, and the National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAAR).
