Dr. Rod J. Rohrich: Lauded and in Demand Teacher, Speaker and Practitioner of the art of Rhinoplasty.

A strong aesthetic sensibility and an acute tactile finesse are tools useful to any cosmetic surgeon. Yet, those engaged in the art of re-contouring the nose, otherwise known as rhinoplasty, could argue a greater need for these virtues than most. Rhinoplasty is regarded as one of the most intricate forms of cosmetic surgery. Amongst those who have mastered this delicate art, and who are highly regarded within their field, is Dr. Rod J. Rohrich.

A ‘best doctor in Texas’ since 2005, Rohrich is an innovator, author and teacher, with hundreds of articles to his credit as well as several textbooks. Besides graduating from Baylor University College of Medicine with honors, Rohrich has also completed further study through Oxford University and Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical University.

Active within the medical community for at least twenty years, Rohrich has been in high-ranking positions in many prestigious medical groups. This includes holding the Crystal Charity Ball Distinguished Chair in Plastic Surgery for over two decades and the Betty Warren Woodward Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for nearly a decade and a half. As a coveted speaker and educater, Rohrich has been asked to head numerous medical symposiums, including the Dallas Rhinoplasty Symposium, at which Rohrich serves as co-chairperson. Rohrich has frequently taught Rhinoplasty techniques at the Dallas symposium, widely regarded as the number one educational conference in the field of nose-shaping. His well-attended talks number more than a thousand. As president of the most recognized board-certified group of plastic surgeons, with the most members, the ASPS, or The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Rohrich is a high profile figure in the medical world. Yet, it’s likely stints at popular shows, like Oprah Winfrey and the View, have made him recognizable in the mainstream too.

Rohrich continues to actively ply his craft in the Dallas, Texas region, not only by performing surgeries for patients, but also by teaching as a professor of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and by attending area symposiums to lecture and teach. Already scheduled on the busy doctor’s calendar are three major symposiums, slated to occur early in 2018. The symposiums are the Baker Gordon Educational Symposium, the Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting, and the Annual Global Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine Meeting. Besides using these events as means of reviewing ongoing Rhinoplasty concerns, Rohrich will be assisting other presenters in bringing fresh cosmetic solutions to the vaunted audience of medical practitioners in such challenging areas as facial rejuvenation and buttock augmentation.
