Larry Baer

Larry Baer is one of the leading visionaries in professional sports. After graduating from Harvard Business School, he worked in the media industry for Westinghouse Broadcasting and CBS Inc. before becoming Giants CEO a Major League Baseball, he also oversaw the construction of Oracle Park, more commonly known as AT&T Park, which was dubbed by many fans to be one of the best ballparks ever built.

Since opening in 2000, it’s garnered much acclaim and is a Sports Business Journal award-winner. Larry Baer is the chairman and SF Giants CEO of Giants Development Services.

Larry Baer is a very respected and accomplished individual. He served on numerous Major League Baseball boards, including chairing the Strategic Planning Committee and the Business and Media Board. Mr Baer has always been honored for his impressive work with Harvard Business School, receiving their Alumnus of the Year award in 2012.

The SF Giants CEO was honored by the University of California Berkeley for his good leadership abilities in 2018, winning the Excellence in Leadership Award. Mr. Baer and his wife Pam live in San Francisco with their four children. He usually starts the week with a very strict schedule which includes: waking up early at around 6:00 am, then heading down to the gym, catching up on current events by reading three newspapers, and then eating breakfast.

By the time he gets to work, the Giants CEO takes coffee and is ready for a productive day. He loves going from office to office, checking in with his colleagues and brainstorming throughout the day. He believes that collaborating with other team members is beneficial because it helps him be more productive. His weekends usually start with an early morning dog walk or a coffee with friends. He likes to spending his weekends with the family, catching up on the latest political interview shows.
